PACE
This Programme for Association and Co-operation in Earth sciences (PACE), focuses on geoscientists in developing countries. In connection with EAGE's main goals: "...to promote the application of geosciences ...", through PACE, EAGE strives to encourage the exchange of information and knowledge among the global geoscientific community.
PACE is coordinated by the PACE Committee, consisting of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, a Secretary-Treasurer and several representatives. The Committee members convene regularly to discuss delegate support.
PACE Delegate Support
The PACE programme supports individual geoscientists from developing countries to participate actively in our events. This support is available for accepted speakers, more details (and in due time the PACE support application form) are available on the event's website.
Rules
In order to qualify for PACE financial support, please take the following criteria into consideration:
- Only presenters of accepted oral and/or poster presentations who cannot obtain financial support given by their university/institute or other resources can apply.
- A person will only be considered for a grant once every two years.
- Priority will be given to EAGE members.
- As the PACE budget is limited, it cannot be guaranteed that the (total) requested support will be granted.
- In case support will be granted, the total grant can be collected onsite.
- When returning your application form, please attach a copy of your passport and your Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- The deadline for applications is indicated on every event's website. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
- Should your support request be accepted, you will receive a confirmation letter.

PACE Event Support
If you organise a geoscientific event and want to apply for support, please complete the PACE Event Support Request Form. Your request will be discussed by the Membership- and Co-operation Committee.
Rules
In order to qualify for PACE financial support, please take the following criteria into consideration:

What kind of support can I ask for:
a. Support can be in the form of a no-interest short-term loan to fund the activity, where the loan will be paid off after the activity has been held;
b. Support where the event is financially supported by EAGE. -
Who can apply:
Local Chapters, Associated Societies, universities and research institutes. -
Extra support to Local Chapters can also be given:
To smaller events, daily programs or initiatives. -
EAGE expectations:
a. Acknowledgement of EAGE support on the event materials – both print and electronic;
b. Free display area for EAGE promotion material – with a minimum of one poster board and one table with chairs;
c. Allotted speaking time for EAGE representatives during the opening session – with a minimum of five minutes. -
Application:
a. To be submitted online via the EAGE website no later than three months ahead of the event;
b. The application form must be fully completed and contain a clear and accurate budget. -
Reasons for disqualification:
Local Chapters who have not provided their annual reports of the previous year to EAGE on time. -
Transfer of funding in cases under 1b:
Following the event, the organizers are required to submit the following after which the financial transaction can take place:
- a short financial report showing how the allocated budget has been spent
- the abstracts
- the list of participants
- an information report about the event
- a short article with pictures suitable for publication in First Break
Student Fund
The Student Fund dedicates itself to support a number of student activities to encourage students to participate in EAGE activities. A few examples are:
- Student Travel Grants
- Student Scholarships
- Support to Student conferences, workshops and field trips
- Sponsor Student participation to the EAGE Conference & Exhibition

Funding
During its Annual Conference & Exhibition, EAGE sells souvenirs in the EAGE booth, the revenues of which go to this fund. Furthermore all donations to EAGE support funds are welcome! You (or your company) can make a difference! You can be sure that your donation will be used for a good cause.
