Local Chapters

Due to the globalization of the EAGE it becomes more vital to keep in touch with our members. One of the ways to reach our members in certain areas is to have or create Local Chapters. The Local Chapter is represented by a president, this person represents his region. If you are interested in representing EAGE in your own region, you have the opportunity to start up a local chapter. Local Chapters encourage EAGE Membership in their region and support communication between the members and the EAGE Head Office. Creating a local chapter offers a number of benefits as EAGE supports training and education of the local chapter members. In this way, opportunities are created for geoscientists in a certain region to connect and to share experiences.

Creating a Local Chapter in your region includes a number of benefits:

  • A short course or workshop by a DLP lecturer once every year
  • Event support
  • Publishing opportunities in First Break, the monthly magazine of EAGE
  • Website exposure
  • Promotion of Local Chapter activities by EAGE
  • Promote EAGE among your region
