The city is the largest of Spain and the third-largest city in Europe, with a history going back to the 9th century. Due to the rich history of Madrid it is really worth visiting some of the cultural attractions, such as the Museo Nacional del Prado and the worldfamous Bernabue football stadium.
Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to register or attend the conference, the exhibition and all family member activities.
The hotel receptionists can assist you in finding a baby-sitter when necessary.
The offical language of the 77th EAGE Conference and Exhibition is English.
The EAGE-PACE programme supports geoscientists in developing countries to actively participate in the 77th EAGE Conference & Exhibition 2015. Speakers of accepted presentations may apply for this support. The PACE application process is already open! Please refer to this webpage for more details and the PACE application form. The deadline for application is 1 March 2015.
The EAGE extended abstracts and exhibitors’ profiles will be available on a USB stick for all full delegates (included in the conference fee).

Public transport card
A free public transport card will be available to all registered full delegates, delegates with full workshop packages and all registered family members. With this card you can travel throughout the city of Madrid. If you are not planning to use the public transport card, you can choose a voucher instead. The voucher is exchangeable for a gift, a book discount or you can donate your voucher to support a student with his/her EAGE membership fee.

IFEMA is one of the largest venues for conferences and exhibitions in Spain and Europe. It is conveniently located between the city centre and Madrid's main airport. As a result, the conference venue has good public transportation links to allow quick and easy transport to and from the IFEMA.

|We advise delegates who require a visa to start their application process three months prior to the event (March) as in specific cases the visa process may be lengthy (up to two months).|
Invitation letters for visa purposes will be issued by the EAGE Europe Office to those who have registered and paid for the 77th EAGE Conference & Exhibition. In order to obtain an invitation letter, the online invitation letter request form must be completed. Requests should be submitted before 15 May 2015. The handling of requests received after this date cannot be guaranteed.
Please note that EAGE cannot guarantee the usability of an invitation letter.
