First Break is a leading online platform serving the geoscience, engineering, and energy community.
First Break reaches a global audience that extends well beyond the membership of EAGE and is widely regarded as an authoritative source of news, features, analysis, and accessible technical content. While the primary focus is on the oil and gas exploration and production industry, reflecting the interests of the EAGE community, First Break increasingly covers related fields such as environmental geoscience and mining, and welcomes contributions from both academia and industry. To highlight the multidisciplinary nature of the Association, each month features a dedicated Topic of the Month.
