Workshop 2: Petrographic Coded Models in Rock Physics - Various Approaches
|Time||09:00 - 11:00 hrs|
|Convenor||N. Gegenhuber (Montanuniversitaet Leoben)|
Petrophysics refers to the research on the physical properties of rocks, their experimental and theoretical derivation and their correlations. In this workshop the petrographic coded model concept will be explained and examples of the applications are shown and discussed. The first application of the model was to derive a correlation between thermal conductivity and compressional wave velocity. The model concept can help to understand various influencing factors for the different petrophysical properties and become a powerful tool for data interpretation.
|Time||11:00 - 12:00 hrs|
|Location||Exhibition, start at Student Court|
Every year there are more and more companies at the exhibition. Students have the perfect opportunity to become familiar with them by participating in guided exhibition tours.
